Upsell Groups

Adding upsells throughout the ordering process can help increase revenue, guide guests through the correct ordering journey, and streamline onsite operations by ensuring items are displayed for preparation in the right format. Upsell groups are linked to products within a menu, providing complete control over where they are used.

Examples

  • Add an upsell group to spirits which contain a selection of mixers where a choice in the standard point of sale setup is not appropriate

  • Encourage guests to order side orders with specific main dishes

  • Modifications to specific items to ensure the guest receives the item how they like it, "No Ice" / "Slice of Lemon"

Navigate to Menu Manager

Adding Upsell Groups

Follow these steps to add upsell groups:

  1. Click Configure | select Upsell Groups, the upsell group list will be displayed

  2. Click Create Upsell Group

  3. Enter the following details, Internal Name | Name | Description (optional)

  4. Set the selection type from the drop down

    • Optional Single Selection - only 1 item from the upsell group needs to be optionally selected by the guest

    • Optional Unlimited Selection - multiple items from the upsell group can be optionally selected by the guest

  5. Enable the Add as Child toggle if the items ordered from the upsell group are to be linked to the parent item (Anded)

    Anded items linked items where they are served together as a single item, for example Spirit AND Mixer, where the mixer is being served with / alongside the spirit and not in a separate glass

  6. Click Assign Products tab

  7. Enter search term, Name or Entity Code | drag the item from the search results to Upsell Items List

  8. From the list for each item click Configure and set the following

    • Display Record for the item

    • Portion to be used for the upsell item

    • May Stock - enable the toggle if the item should not be displayed within the upsell group when out of stock

    Click Save

  9. Click Save

The upsell group list enables addition actions to be completed.

Editing Upsell Groups

Follow these steps to edit upsell groups:

  1. Click Configure | select Upsell Groups, the upsell group list will be displayed

  2. Enter a search term, Name | click Search

  3. Click Edit for the required group

  4. Update the group as required

  5. Click Save

Duplicating Upsell Groups

Follow these steps to duplicate upsell groups:

  1. Click Configure | select Upsell Groups, the upsell group list will be displayed

  2. Enter a search term, Name | click Search

  3. Click Duplicate for the required group

  4. Enter New Internal Name | click Duplicate

  5. Update the group as required, changing settings or products

  6. Click Save

Deleting Upsell Groups

Follow these steps to delete upsell groups:

  1. Click Configure | select Upsell Groups, the upsell group list will be displayed

  2. Enter a search term, Name | click Search

  3. Click Delete

  4. Confirm OK to delete the layout
